A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD PASTRY COOK
The expectations of the Lead Pastry Cook include scaling, production, and execution of pastry mixes, fillings, individual desserts, frozen desserts, cookies & bars, pies & cakes, doughs, and bread. Proficiency with chocolate and confectionery work, Celebration, and Specialty Cake decoration is also a requirement. Ensuring and monitoring par stocks of daily items, reading and executing daily event orders, along with being flexible to special requests from members, are key factors to success. As a Lead Pastry Cook, you will understand the importance of ensuring quality standards and services are consistently met and will excel at mise en place, production, and execution of A'la Carte, Banquet, and Special Event desserts. The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on production demands, is required.JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience ACF Certification is preferred but not required Must continue to expand culinary ability Must possess a sense of desire to satisfy member's requests Motivated to get the job done no matter what obstacles appear Must be service-orientated and possess great attention to detail and have a strong desire to succeed Ability to spend long periods of time on your feet Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to pass a drug test Reliable transportationESTIMATED SCHEDULE
