Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights. In this vital role, you will assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your expertise in fine dining, food production, and team supervision will be instrumental in delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talent while fostering a collaborative and energetic kitchen culture. Responsibilities Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service standards. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high performance, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent quality. Manage inventory control and food safety procedures to minimize waste and ensure compliance with health regulations. Support menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes that align with our culinary vision. Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and dietary restrictions. Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between service periods while maintaining efficiency. Lead catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes in large-scale settings. Experience Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment, preferably within fine dining or catering settings. Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management. Demonstrated expertise in banquet experience, catering operations, and large-scale event support. Familiarity with inventory management, inventory control systems, and food service management practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations relevant to the food industry. Prior restaurant experience emphasizing menu planning, shift management, and hospitality excellence is highly desirable. Pay:
