Job Description
We are looking for a creative, professional lead line chef to prepare food to the exact specifications of this fine dining restaurant and to set up stations for menu. Lead line chef duties will consist of assisting the executive chef with the daily tasks of running a professional and well organized kitchen and preparing dinner specials. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction, our employee team work and superior food goals. Responsibilities Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow executive chef's instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Control and maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Create and implement menu specials. Skills Proven cooking experience on all kitchen stations, including experience as a Lead line chef Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry's best practices Culinary school diploma Experienced in training, controlling and working with a professional team, back of the house and front of the house
