Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring high-quality standards are met at all times Develop innovative sushi recipes and menu items that appeal to diverse tastes while maintaining authentic flavors Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in compliance with health and safety regulations Manage ingredient inventory, order supplies, and ensure freshness of all seafood and accompaniments Educate team members on proper sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and presentation standards Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently during busy hours Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced restaurant environment Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and ingredient sourcing Strong skills in knife handling, fish filleting, and rice preparation Experience in developing new menu items through creativity and culinary innovation Ability to manage kitchen operations effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Familiarity with classroom management or teaching culinary skills is a plus for mentoring junior staff Background in culinary arts or related training from accredited programs is preferred Join us to bring your sushi mastery to life in a vibrant setting where your skills will shine!
