General Manager Summary:
The Head Chef has the primary focus of developing and executing the club's gourmet menu. This includes creating new dishes, testing recipes, and working with the kitchen staff to ensure that the menu is executed to the highest standards. The Head Chef also assists the General Manager with managing the kitchen staff, ordering supplies, and maintaining the kitchen's equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the club's gourmet menu
- Create new dishes, test recipes, and work with the kitchen staff to ensure that the menu is executed to the highest standards
- Assist the General Manager with managing the kitchen staff
- Order/purchase supplies and maintain the kitchen's equipment
- Ensure that the kitchen is clean and sanitary
- Comply with all food safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a fine dining or gourmet kitchen
- Strong culinary skills and creativity
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends

- Experience with menu planning and development
- Experience with food cost control
- Experience with inventory management
- Experience with food safety regulations
- Experience with kitchen equipment
