Job Description

WE'RE GROWING AND WE NEED A CATERING KITCHEN LEADER
The Chef's Table is expanding our catering division and we are looking for a Per Diem Catering Chef to join our team. This is not a line cook position. This is a leadership role for someone who can execute, problem solve, and represent our brand off-site with confidence. About the Role We cater approximately 100 events per year, with our busiest season running October through May (minimal summer events). Our events range from intimate dinners for 8 guests to large plated and buffet experiences for 300+ guests. What You'll Do Prep food in our kitchen Organize and pack all catering equipment + food Drive company van (clean driver's license required) Set up and execute events onsite Heat, cook, and finish dishes in built on site rental kitchens, home kitchens or outdoor environments Lead culinary staff during plated and buffet service Break down, repack, and return equipment properly Who You Are Experienced in high-quality food execution Calm under pressure Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working outdoors and in non-traditional kitchens A team leader, not just a cook Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated Requirements Proven experience in banquet catering, fine dining, or large-scale food production environments. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams or catering staff. Extensive culinary experience with skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management. Knowledge of food service management principles including shift management and service flow coordination. Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality industry standards related to food handling, serving, and customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Some days are 4-hour events. Some days are 12-hour production days. Pay:
