Approximately 55-60 hours per week Angelo's Italian Market & Restaurant is a family-owned and operated business serving Venice since 1991. Our business includes an Italian specialty market and deli, along with a busy restaurant kitchen providing casual/quick-service takeout, full-service dining, and catering. We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef / Head Chef with extensive Italian culinary experience to lead our restaurant kitchen. This position oversees all kitchen operations related to our dine-in restaurant, takeout, and catering services. The ideal candidate understands how to balance the speed and volume of takeout and casual service with the quality, consistency, and presentation expected from our full-service Italian dining experience. This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who will be actively involved in the kitchen, lead by example, and take ownership of day-to-day kitchen operations. Responsibilities Oversee all restaurant kitchen operations Manage production for dine-in, takeout, and catering Lead, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff Maintain food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation Oversee daily prep and production Manage ordering, receiving, and kitchen inventory Monitor food costs, waste, and portion control Create and execute specials and assist with menu development Maintain sanitation, food safety, and kitchen organization Work closely with ownership and front-of-house management Remain actively involved in prep and service as needed Qualifications Professional Italian culinary experience is required Previous Executive Chef, Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or similar leadership experience Strong knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine and cooking techniques High-volume restaurant experience Strong leadership and organizational skills Experience with ordering, inventory, food cost, and staff management Ability to manage multiple types of service simultaneously Reliable, professional, and hands-on Available approximately 55-60 hours per week, including evenings and weekends Compensation Starting at $94,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
