Duties Assist in developing and executing innovative menus that reflect the restaurant's fine dining standards and culinary vision Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality Lead and manage kitchen staff by providing clear direction, training, and mentorship to foster a collaborative team environment Oversee inventory management and control procedures to minimize waste while maintaining optimal stock levels of ingredients and supplies Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations across all kitchen activities Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and allergy considerations seamlessly Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and exceptional service standards Maintain high standards of food handling, hygiene, and sanitation throughout all kitchen processes Support restaurant management in implementing quality assurance protocols to uphold our Michelin-star reputation Skills Extensive culinary experience within fine dining establishments; Michelin-star experience preferred Knowledge of Japanese techniques, ingredients and sushi experience is a plus Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of kitchen staff Strong background in food production, menu planning, and food service management Knowledge of inventory control systems and food cost management techniques Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations in the hospitality industry Excellent cooking skills with an eye for detail in presentation and flavor balance Experience managing catering events or banquet services is advantageous Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service excellence Join us as a Sous Chef where your culinary talents will shine!
