Job Description

Job Summary Oversee the culinary operations of off-premise events. These events can range from a private office, home or special event space, with a guest attendance of 10-250, within metro Atlanta or as far as a couple hours away. Part of the fun and adventure is that every event is different. If you seek sameness and consistency in a workplace, off-premise catering is not for you. If you seek controlled chaos, something different every day, new experiences, you should give off-premise catering a try. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain a professional relationship with all with whom you come in contact with. Shifts will start and end at the shop (2469 Canton Rd) actual workplace will vary, checking in, counting food with the Captain, finish packing the truck with F&B, driving to the event location, kitchen set up, execution, breakdown, Assist with loading the truck and return to the warehouse. Minimal unloading at shifts end. Communicates Captain before, during and after event. Receive and handle clients' requests and claims in relation to the quality of food, and service. Complete chef reports at end of shift for clear communication with management. Ambassador of the company at trade shows and conventions to promote company and build sales. Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills and acts as a positive role model. You may be working on your own, or overseeing a small team depending on size of the event. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 2 years experience in special events and/or catering planning & execution. Strong interpersonal & organizational skills. Detail oriented, creative & innovative personality. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. Flexible to work nights, weekends & holidays as required. Must be passionate about the Special Events Industry Must be able to multi-task and have excellent time management skills. Able to thrive in a fast paced environment and self-motivated are essential qualities a candidate must possess for success in this role. Ability to lead staff of varying backgrounds, experience levels and personalities.

$18.50 - $21.00 per hour
