Job Description

Chef de Cuisine Join an established Savannah restaurant as Chef de Cuisine with a clear path to the Executive Chef role. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced culinary leader who is ready to take the next step in their career while enjoying an excellent quality of life . This is a 5-day work week, dinner-only operation, and the restaurant is closed every Sunday and Monday . Responsibilities Lead daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards for food quality and consistency Work closely with the Executive Chef during the transition period Prepare for the future Executive Chef role by learning all aspects of the operation Train, coach, and develop culinary team members Oversee kitchen organization, prep, and service execution Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste Assist with scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety Build a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork and accountability Requirements 3+ years of Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef experience Upscale-casual or fine dining restaurant experience Proven experience leading culinary teams Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations Strong understanding of food cost, labor, purchasing, and inventory Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Stable work history with demonstrated career progression Qualifications Hands-on leadership style Strong culinary skills and attention to detail Ability to lead and develop a culinary team Comfortable taking ownership of kitchen operations Strong understanding of restaurant financials and operational controls Ability to work closely with the Executive Chef and restaurant leadership Positive attitude and strong work ethic Desire to take on an Executive Chef role and grow with the organization Benefits & Compensation $75,000-$80,000 Base Salary Excellent Quality of Life 5-Day Work Week Dinner-Only Operation Closed Sunday & Monday 10 Days PTO After 90 Days 5 Sick Days Competitive Healthcare Package with Company Contribution $900/Month Meal Allowance Career Advancement Opportunities with an Established Hospitality Organization
