Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our busy brunch team! Early morning hours with start times from 4-6am. Must have an open schedule and be able to work all weekends and holidays. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across fine dining, catering, and banquet services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, manage food production processes, and contribute to a lively hospitality environment that values innovation and teamwork. Duties Support the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards. Fill in any time the Executive Chef is off site Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food safety, handling, and service procedures. Oversee inventory control and management of food supplies, ensuring proper stock levels while minimizing waste. Assist in menu planning and development for various dining services including fine dining and catering events. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times. Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions efficiently. Lead by example in food production, catering preparation, and overall food service management to foster a motivated team atmosphere. Experience Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably with banquet or fine dining experience. Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant management. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, food handling, and kitchen operations. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in high-volume settings such as restaurants or catering services. Knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations is essential; certifications are highly valued. Experience working within the food industry with a focus on hospitality or restaurant service is preferred. Familiarity with menu planning, shift management, and catering logistics will enhance your success in this role. Pay:
From $25.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have experience cooking breakfast? Are you able to work both Saturdays and Sundays? Are you able to start between 4-6am daily?
