Job Description

Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and skilled Catering Chef to assist with the preparation and execution of food for catered events. The Catering Chef works closely with the Catering Team to prepare high-quality meals, maintain kitchen organization, and ensure food is delivered and presented according to company standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and menu specifications. Assist with food preparation for catered events, including chopping, cooking, baking, and plating. Ensure food is prepared and presented in a timely and professional manner. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage guidelines. Assist with loading, transporting, and setting up food for offsite catering events, when required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Monitor food quality and portion control to ensure consistency. Assist with inventory, stocking, and proper storage of ingredients and supplies. Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared timely so that events run smoothly. Skills & Qualifications Intermediate to advanced cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and food presentation. Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Valid driver's license. Conversational Spanish is a plus. Experience Requirements 3-5 years of kitchen or catering experience preferred. Experience in banquet or catering kitchens is a definite plus. Work Schedule Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.
Pay:
$38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
