Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and service, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves overseeing all aspects of food production, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation while managing inventory and menu planning. Responsibilities Lead the kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Plan and execute menus for daily service, special events, and banquets while considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Monitor inventory levels, manage food supplies, and conduct regular stock checks to ensure efficient operations. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Collaborate with the dietary department to create nutritious meal options that meet health guidelines. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Oversee kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of meals and exceptional customer satisfaction. Implement cost control measures while maintaining high-quality standards in all culinary offerings. Qualifications Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or banquet setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and menu development. Experience with inventory control systems and practices to minimize waste. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
