Lafayette, LA Job Details Full-time $41,891 a year 4 hours ago Qualifications Food production Grilling Pre-cooking preparation Sautéing Meat cookery Full Job Description Job Overview Prepare, season, and cook a variety of traditional Thai and Asian dishes according to authentic recipes and restaurant standards. Plan and prepare menu items including stir-fried dishes, noodle dishes, curries, soups, rice dishes, and specialty sauces using traditional cooking techniques and ingredients commonly used in Thai and Asian cuisine. Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and presentation of food to maintain consistency and quality. Use a variety of cooking methods such as stir-frying, sautéing, steaming, grilling, and simmering to prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles, and rice. Monitor food quality, freshness of ingredients, and proper storage of food products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Assist in menu planning and preparation of specialty dishes. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards while handling food and kitchen equipment. Perform other related kitchen duties as assigned by management.
