Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of food management, team supervision, and culinary techniques to support the overall success of our kitchen. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and special catering events. Train new kitchen staff in food service protocols and best practices. Monitor kitchen performance and address any issues that arise during service. Skills Strong knowledge of food management principles and practices. Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively. Expertise in food service operations, including catering and event planning. Proficient in food preparation techniques with a focus on culinary excellence. Familiarity with kitchen management systems and inventory control. Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while assisting others as needed.
