What You'll DoAs the Executive Sous Chef, you will serve as the Executive Chef's trusted partner and second-in-command, helping to lead the daily operations of our culinary department.

You will:
  • Assist in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Help develop creative, nutritious menus that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Lead food preparation, production, and quality control efforts.
  • Support inventory management, purchasing, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor culinary team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture focused on excellence and engagement.
  • Coordinate special events, catering functions, and community celebrations.
  • Step into a leadership role and oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Participate in resident satisfaction initiatives and continuously seek opportunities to elevate the dining experience.
    What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
  • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent professional culinary certification.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable culinary leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of menu planning, food production, inventory management, and cost control.
  • ServSafe Certification required
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • A passion for hospitality and serving older adults.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in senior living, hospitality, healthcare, country club, hotel, or resort dining environments.
  • Advanced culinary training or specialized certifications.
  • Experience leading large-scale dining operations and special events.

Job Type:
Full Time Salary Range:
