Job Description

FRANKENMUTH BAVARIAN INN LODGE
is an EEO Employer -

Full time - 40-45 hours per week; 5-6 days per week
Earliest Start Time:
5 am
Latest End Time:
3 am Must be available to work a combination of hours between those times, including weekends, weekdays, evenings and holidays. Function:
Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchens, dish, banquet, and café areas. Maintains safety, sanitation and cleanliness in all work and storage areas. Receives and stores merchandise properly as needed rotating product using the FIFO method. Upholds all the standards and policies of the Bavarian Inn Lodge, OSHA and MIOSHA and Health Department Laws. Trains, supervises, and evaluates performance of all kitchen/dish employees. Experiments with new ideas for menu items and monthly specials. Assists in achieving budgeted labor/food costs and operating expenses as needed for department goals and to be financially stable. Assists in achieving department and personal of self and supervisor goals.
Basic Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Food Service Minimum two years experience in Food preparation with knowledge of frying, cooking, labor and food costs or combined experience in a related position Ability to effectively supervise and motivate personnel Ability to stand and walk continually Ability to lift moderate to heavy items Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Good math skills in order to calculate food costs, adjust recipes, make adjustments to projections, etc. Serve Safe Sanitation certified Serve Safe Allergy certified Ability to work in a hot environment for long periods of time Please visit our careers page to see more job opportunities.
