Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our food service offerings. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire creativity, uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation, and drive operational excellence across all culinary functions. The ideal candidate is passionate about fine dining, experienced in managing large-scale food production and some catering services. Responsibilities Lead and manage the entire culinary team, including supervising cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food preparation. Oversee menu planning and specials, ensuring a diverse selection that meets guest expectations while maintaining cost control and inventory management. Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, hygiene standards, and health regulations across all kitchen activities. Manage inventory control and procurement processes to optimize food costs while maintaining freshness and quality. Implement effective kitchen management practices including shift management, scheduling, and training to foster a motivated and skilled team. Maintain a focus on hospitality excellence by ensuring timely food service delivery and exceptional guest satisfaction. Develop innovative recipes and presentation techniques to enhance the culinary experience. Monitor food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and minimize waste. Collaborate with and report to General Manager for scheduling, food preparation, specials on budgeting, cost control initiatives, and overall restaurant or facility operations. Experience Proven experience in a leadership role within the food industry, preferably as an in fine dining or upscale hospitality environments. Extensive background in food production Demonstrated expertise in supervising teams of culinary professionals with strong leadership skills. Strong knowledge of dietary department practices, food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control strategies. Experience managing large-scale food service operations with a focus on quality assurance and customer satisfaction. Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation, menu planning, shift management, and food handling protocols. Prior experience in managing diverse culinary teams within fast-paced environments is highly desirable.
