Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pantry/Tandoor Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, with a focus on pantry items and tandoor specialties, to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining high standards of food safety will ensure our guests enjoy authentic flavors and top-quality meals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to fine dining excellence. You will be learning how to use the tandoor, make naan, roti, paratha, kulcha, tandoori meats, and more. We are willing to teach people if you don't have prior experience. Responsibilities Prepare and cook pantry items and tandoor dishes according to established recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment such as tandoors, grills, ovens, and food preparation tools safely and efficiently Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to food safety management and sanitizing protocols Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes that align with culinary standards and guest preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper sanitization of all surfaces and equipment Support food production for high-volume service periods while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes, improve existing dishes, and ensure consistency across all offerings Experience Prior dietary aide experience or similar background in food service or Indian food is preferred but not required Proven restaurant or fine dining experience with a focus on food preparation and presentation Strong knowledge of cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and meal preparation for catering or high-volume production Demonstrated expertise in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Experience with food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling, and food safety management systems Skilled in knife handling, food production processes, and recipe adherence to maintain quality standards Background in catering or large-scale meal service is advantageous for this role Join us if you're eager to bring your culinary skills to life in a lively environment that values innovation, precision, and exceptional guest experiences.
