Hourly pay plus tips. Pay is negotiable, based on experience. We're seeking a professional, experienced Pastry Chef to lead our pastry program. Our departing pastry chef built a beloved rotating menu of cakes, cheesecakes, tarts, Italian doughnuts (bombas) and seasonal specials — and we're looking for a skilled professional to carry that program forward and make it their own. This is a serious role for someone who loves the craft of pastry and thrives in a busy scratch kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Produce a rotating menu of high-quality scratch-made pastries, cakes, and desserts Develop seasonal specials using local, fresh ingredients Maintain consistency, quality, and beautiful presentation across all items Manage pastry production schedules and prep efficiently Monitor inventory, order ingredients, and minimize waste Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Collaborate with our kitchen team and communicate directly and professionally What We're Looking For Professional pastry experience (culinary/pastry training strongly preferred) Proven ability to produce consistent, high-quality baked goods and desserts Strong knowledge of classic pastry techniques Ability to work independently and manage your own production Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Pride in quality, consistency, and craftReliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic Why Join Us Be part of a respected, community-rooted local business Creative freedom to develop and shape our pastry program Work with local, seasonal, high-quality ingredients Supportive, hardworking team that values what you bring
