Hibachi Chef - Position Overview We are looking for an energetic and skilled Hibachi Chef to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals ranging from entry-level cooks with a desire to learn, to experienced hibachi chefs who can deliver both exceptional food and an engaging dining experience. As a Hibachi Chef, you will prepare meals in front of guests on a teppanyaki grill, combining culinary skill with performance and customer interaction. The ideal candidate is confident, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals on a hibachi/teppanyaki grill in front of guests Deliver an entertaining and interactive dining experience (knife skills, tricks, guest engagement) Ensure proper food handling, cooking temperatures, and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely service and ingredient preparation Manage portion control and minimize waste ⸻ Qualifications Entry-level candidates: willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and ability to perform under pressure Intermediate candidates: experience with grill cooking, basic knife skills, and familiarity with hibachi-style service Advanced candidates: strong teppanyaki performance skills, speed, consistency, and ability to train others Comfortable interacting with guests and performing in front of a crowd Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a busy environment Flexible schedule, including nights and week Paid meals and bonuses
