Sous Chef / Line Cook

Sous Chef - Job Description We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. The Sous Chef works directly with the Executive Chef to maintain high culinary standards, ensure smooth kitchen operations, and lead staff in delivering exceptional food quality and service. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations Supervise and support line cooks and kitchen staff Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes Help develop menus, specials, and seasonal offerings Train, coach, and mentor kitchen employees Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance Manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation Control food costs, waste, and portion standards Step into leadership role in Chef's absence Qualifications Previous Sous Chef or strong leadership kitchen experience required Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and team leadership skills ServSafe certification (preferred or required) Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
