This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-end resort environment supporting private events, group dinners, and specialty guest experiences across a diverse range of event formats. THE ROLE
As a Chef de Partie - Pastry , you will help coordinate culinary operations and ensure consistently high standards across events and guest experiences. You will work closely with the culinary team to execute food production, support other kitchen associates, and maintain an exceptional level of quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and execution of food orders Support culinary production for private events, group dinners, and specialty guest experiences Collaborate with fellow culinary associates to meet production goals and maintain smooth kitchen operations Assist with training and development of new kitchen associates Supervise and mentor cooks and kitchen staff when required Contribute creative ideas for new menu items and specials Prepare hot and cold food items according to established culinary standards Maintain exceptional attention to detail, quality, and presentation Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies Help minimize waste through effective inventory and production practices Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment Follow all health and safety standards Consistently deliver high levels of service and exceed guest expectations Contribute to creating memorable "WOW" moments for guests Assist with additional culinary duties based on business needs
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 3 years of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel environment Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods Experience in pastry/baking or a strong pastry-focused culinary background Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Basic computer skills Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Willingness to learn, develop, and grow within a professional culinary environment Reliable, trustworthy, and professional approach Luxury hotel or resort experience is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and remain mobile for extended periods during shifts Frequent grasping, holding, walking, bending, and repetitive motions Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and for extended periods Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs on a semi-regular basis Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including freezers as cold as -10°F and kitchens reaching approximately 110°
F Pay:
$27.00 - $27.01 per hour
