Private Chef Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and innovative Personal Chef to join our team! You must have a passion for creating delicious meals and be comfortable cooking in our lodge kitchen for 12 guests and 3 volunteer staff. Our ideal candidate knows how to develop menu items to meet the meal preferences of our clients. You also order food and supplies, check ingredients for freshness, and prepare meals within the proper timeframe. Clients expect you to clean the cooking area and store all kitchen equipment and utensils. You will have 2 volunteer helpers with a variety of kitchen skills, but the final meal prep, Private Chef Duties and Responsibilities Discuss meal preferences and expectations with General Manager Research food and equipment suppliers Order ingredients and other materials needed for meal preparation. Sysco delivers once a week to a location close to the lodge. Examine orders for accuracy and freshness Cook delicious meals according to your client's schedule Plate and serve the meals to your clients with the help of 2 volunteers Clean the kitchen cooking area and store utensils and cooking equipment Personal Chef Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Food safety training or certification Experience as a personal or restaurant chef Knowledge of a variety of dietary lifestyles and restrictions Ability to cook elevated comfort food along with different types of cuisines Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Any need for transportation for Ranch business: i.e. sourcing supplies etc. will have the use of a ranch vehicle. Other Important details Food and lodging are included in this position. A private room with a great shower and laundry facilities is included. Weekly salary is included and a generous day rate for opening in June and closing at the end of September Preparation of 3 meals per day for 15 guests and staff with plenty of rest time in between Lucrative compensation commensurate with experience.
