Job Description

We are looking for a Culinary Lead to work in our kitchen, following our Executive Chef's specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' dining experience. Enbar is leading the culinary revolution in Great Falls, Montana. Come join our exciting restaurant group of Enbar Craft Cocktail Lounge, The Block Bar & Grill as well as The Newberry concert and event center. Help us create unique menu items, adventurous catering and the craziest grilled cheese and salads west of the Mississippi. Responsibilities Help in the preparation and design of food menus Produce high quality plates with an eye for both design and taste Ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently and meets our quality standards Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation Manage and train kitchen staff, and assess staffs' performance Stock inventory appropriately Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Skills Proven kitchen experience Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions Familiar with industry's best practices At least 5 years progressive kitchen experience The ability to lead and influence team members Experience in a high-volume environment with diverse styles A hard-working, hands-on approach Ability to work autonomously as well and as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform physical demands with or without accommodation Ability to read and write in English to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level. Must be comfortable working in an environment with exposure to extreme cold/hot temperatures. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
