Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in supervising all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and high performance. Oversee food safety sanitizing procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. Manage inventory control and food management processes, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize costs. Coordinate menu planning and recipe development for various dining occasions such as fine dining events, catering functions, and banquet services. Supervise shift management duties, including scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods. Support dietary department needs by accommodating special dietary requests and ensuring proper handling of allergen information. Maintain high standards of food handling and hygiene practices across all kitchen activities to ensure guest safety and satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, or restaurant experience with a focus on fine dining or catering environments. Strong supervisory skills with previous supervising experience in a culinary setting. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control techniques. Hands-on cooking skills with expertise in food preparation and presentation. Experience managing teams as a chef with leadership qualities that inspire excellence among staff. Familiarity with banquet experience, catering services, and hospitality industry standards. Ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining high-quality food service standards. Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for culinary innovation and customer service excellence.
