Job Description

The Courvilles is seeking a Per Diem Chef in Nashua The ideal candidate will be eager to work, have a passion for food service, demonstrate a positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills. The candidate will have training as a chef either though an accredited program or experience with knowledge of proper cooking methods, sanitation, and dining room service, preferably from a hotel or similar health care facility.

Responsibilities of the chef:

Prepare meals that are well balanced, creative and well presented Serve foods in accordance with dietary standards and restrictions Coordinate with the facility's dietitian, as needed, and implement changes in residents' diets Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our own established policies and procedures Ensure department is maintained in a clean and safe manner, assuring all supplies and equipment are maintained Ensure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available Adhere to the work schedule Assist the kitchen staff with meal preparation Serving our residents and their guests in a friendly, timely and courteous manner Cleaning the dining rooms following meal service Prepping materials for the next shift Washing dishes Assisting with special events within the facility Taking orders from residents and their guests

Qualifications:

Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility Must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state or local law 5 years cooking experience, preferred
