Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef CDC to join our culinary team in the Bridgewater area. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who thrives in a dynamic, farm-to-table environment and has a strong foundation in high-quality food preparation. The Sous Chef CDC will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. Experience with butchering, handmade pasta, and pastry is highly valued, with a preference for candidates who have attended culinary school. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a highly seasonal setting that emphasizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Duties Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and presentation. Lead by example in executing high-quality dishes with attention to detail and consistency. Oversee butchering processes to ensure proper handling and utilization of meats. Prepare handmade pasta and other specialty items that highlight seasonal ingredients. Support farm-to-table initiatives by sourcing and utilizing fresh, local produce and ingredients. Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop innovative menu items aligned with seasonal availability. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards. Contribute to pastry preparations; pastry experience is considered a plus for this role. Skills Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role within a fast-paced culinary environment. Strong skills in butchering, pasta making, and pastry preparation preferred. Knowledge of farm-to-table concepts and seasonal ingredient utilization. Culinary school education or equivalent professional training highly preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$58,555.07 - $74,517.94 per year
