Job Description
Sous Chef Job Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen management, food preparation, and team leadership. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Duties Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food production. Manage inventory control and food handling practices to minimize waste and maintain quality standards. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation guidelines. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen environment. Collaborate with the Executive Chef on catering events and banquet services. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes. Participate in shift management, including scheduling staff and managing workflow during peak service times. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth. Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food service management, and kitchen operations. Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact with staff and guests professionally. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
