Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a deep understanding of sushi techniques. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. If you have experience in fine dining or the food industry, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes with precision and artistry. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team for menu planning and special events. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Assist with meal preparation for catering services as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques and food handling practices. Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings. Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with expertise in knife skills, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
