Head Chef , Full Time Our restaurant group is expanding again! We're hiring a Full Time Head Chef for The Chop Shop in Old Bridge NJ. From the owners of Osteria Cucina Rustica in Marlboro, Brando's in Asbury Park, Feast Italian Kitchen in Old Bridge and The Beach Tavern & Osteria Molo in Monmouth Beach comes our newest addition The Chop Shop . We believe our staff are our greatest strength and competitive advantage. If you have a long-standing passion for hospitality and customer service, there's an exciting new opportunity for you at The Chop Shop . Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for hospitality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for providing incredible guest service. This includes all food preparation at the restaurant, overseeing the kitchen staff, and adhering to safety and health standards. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Evaluates food products to assure that quality standards are consistently achieved Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the restaurant Maintain inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure cleanliness and functionality. Implement cost-effective strategies for food production without compromising quality. Educate kitchen staff on proper prep and cooking methods, allergy protocols, and Health Department Guidelines Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently Capable of delegating multiple tasks. Recruit and manage kitchen staff Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Education and Experience Requirements 5 years of chef experience Must have supervisory, coaching and staff development skills Must be highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Serf Save Certification is highly desirable
