POSITION PURPOSE
The Baking & Pastry Chef is responsible for creating and producing high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts while maintaining consistent standards of taste, presentation, freshness, and food safety.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS
Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, pies, desserts, and other baked goods. Develop and execute new recipes and seasonal menu items. Maintain consistent quality, flavor, texture, appearance, and portion sizes. Measure and mix ingredients accurately according to recipes and production requirements. Manage daily baking and pastry production to ensure products are fresh and available on schedule. Decorate and finish pastries and desserts with attention to detail and presentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary baking area in accordance with food-safety standards. Properly store ingredients and finished products to maintain freshness and quality. Monitor inventory and communicate ingredients and supply needs to management. Operate and maintain ovens, mixers, proofers, refrigeration equipment, and other bakery equipment safely. Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies. Requirements Previous professional baking or pastry experience Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, measurements, and food safety. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent attention to detail and consistency. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Creativity and a passion for developing high-quality baked goods. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move baking ingredients and equipment as required.
