Job Description

Chef-Operator | Westchester, NY | Prepared Foods & Catering About the Opportunity A beloved Westchester food institution, in business for over 45 years, is seeking a Chef-Operator to lead its kitchen and help write its next chapter. This is a rare shot at real ownership: a structured path to equity, backed by committed financial partners, for the right person who wants more than a paycheck and wants to be an owner. Most paths to ownership require a mountain of personal debt and years of risk before you see any return. This is different. You step into a proven, beloved business with tenured staff and a fiercely loyal customer base already in place and ear your ownership stake over time. This is an amazing opportunity for a chef who wants to put down roots and build equity in something real. The business has built a loyal following on high-quality ingredients, a well-established roster of signature recipes, and a mix of prepared foods and catering that keeps the community coming back. Front of house runs like a well-oiled machine, and the kitchen and catering staff are tenured and skilled. The current owners will stay on to transition recipes, processes, supplier relationships, and key customer accounts, including support through the first major holiday season. What You'll Do Run daily kitchen operations and manage a tenured kitchen and catering staff Master and preserve the business's signature recipes while thoughtfully evolving the menu for the future Drive menu planning across prepared foods and catering Set strategic direction for the business alongside ownership Maintain the quality and consistency that has made this business a community fixture for 45+ years Build on existing supplier and customer relationships Identify and execute new growth opportunities What You Bring 10+ years of professional cooking experience Restaurant experience required Catering experience required Proven leadership managing kitchen staff and operations Genuine respect for legacy recipes and community ties, balanced with a forward-looking approach to menu development Based in or near Westchester, or willing to relocate Ready for the pace: this is a hands-on, 5-6 day a week operation Compensation & Ownership Competitive six-figure salary. Structured path to equity ownership over a three-year vesting schedule, subject to partnership terms.
