Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, consistency, and flair, ensuring they meet established quality standards. Manage inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, conducting regular stock checks and controlling waste to optimize costs. Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all kitchen activities. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and menu modifications for diverse guest requirements. Lead shift management tasks including scheduling, assigning duties, and monitoring performance to maintain smooth operations. Assist in menu planning by contributing creative ideas that align with culinary trends and guest preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to sanitation standards. Support catering events or banquet functions by coordinating food production and ensuring timely delivery. Skills Extensive banquet experience coupled with fine dining expertise to elevate guest experiences. Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced food service environment with strong team management skills. Background in dietary department operations, including special diet accommodations and nutritional considerations. Strong culinary skills encompassing food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management. Experience in food production, inventory control, and food handling best practices within the hospitality industry. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members. Knowledge of food safety standards along with proficiency in menu planning, catering coordination, and restaurant management.
