Job Description

Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen while ensuring exceptional food quality and service. Salary is highly competitive and will be proportionate to the depth and relevance of your experience and current market rates Duties Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Oversee menu planning and development, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and customer expectations. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with the catering team for special events and banquets, ensuring seamless execution. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to promote a safe working environment. Participate in shift management, ensuring all stations are adequately staffed and prepared for service. Experience Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field. Strong background in fine dining, restaurant management, or catering environments. Experience with dietary department operations is a plus. Demonstrated skills in team management, leadership, and effective communication. Knowledge of inventory management practices and menu planning strategies. Familiarity with food service management principles and industry best practices. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred; additional certifications in food safety are advantageous.
