Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate the dining experience to new heights. As the cornerstone of our food operation, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen management, labor control, menu development, food safety, and team leadership. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry while fostering a vibrant, efficient, and customer-focused kitchen environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety are maintained at all times Develop innovative menus that align with brand standards and cater to diverse dietary needs while emphasizing seasonal ingredients and culinary creativity Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating processes to deliver exceptional dining experiences in both restaurant and catering settings Manage inventory control, procurement, and cost control measures to optimize food costs without compromising quality Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures and uphold strict adherence to health regulations and sanitation standards Supervise and mentor culinary staff, fostering teamwork, skill development, and a positive work environment Coordinate shift management, scheduling, and staffing to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events such as banquets or large catering functions Implement training programs on food handling, safety protocols, kitchen equipment use, and culinary techniques Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and service enhancements to maximize customer satisfaction Control labor percentages with seasonality Qualifications Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting Extensive culinary experience including fine dining, catering, banquet service, and large-scale food production Strong supervisory skills with a track record of managing diverse teams effectively Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, cost control, and kitchen operations Demonstrated ability in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management within the food industry Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment Familiarity with dietary department standards and accommodating special dietary requirements Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling, inventory control, and shift management Passion for culinary excellence combined with a commitment to hospitality service standards We are looking for our newest Executive Chef who will take Gilligan's Brewery to the next level. Hands on leadership with a 'build your bench mentality' is a must. Creativity, eagerness, and a desire to put this place on the map! Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
