Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our food service offerings. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety standards, and efficient workflow. Your leadership will inspire creativity, foster teamwork, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate has James Beard experience, is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses extensive culinary expertise coupled with strong management skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our culinary vision and deliver memorable dining experiences. Responsibilities Achieve and maintain standards for delivery of appropriate food products, namely: safety, taste, presentation and plating, timeliness, experience, consistency, portion size, and quality of ingredients Establish and continuously improve the executive culinary elements essential to efficiently and sufficiently deliver on the standards described above (hire and lead a team, conduct training, build processes and SOPs, and control quality and safety. Achieve budget targets as measured by weekly KPIs. Collaborate with leadership to design and deploy cohesive restaurant visions, seasonal menus, and special offerings aligned with the mission and brand promise.[1] Seek input from customers and leadership on relative standards achievement through tastings, restaurant walk-arounds, customer greetings, and emceeing food-making events. Foster and maintain a respectful, professional, and collaborative work environment while remaining vulnerable, fair, and consistent with all employees. Ensure the team performs their roles and duties to the quality and quantity standards as trained and assigned. Hold team members accountable. Create and maintain weekly staff schedules based on business needs, daily requirements, and adequate employee availability. Review timecards daily and report issues to HR. Collaborate with Grab-n-Go, Prepared Foods, and Catering production teams to ensure all guests receive their food in a coordinated, consistent manner, aligned with the Handbook's Pillars (We're all about great food. We're all about great service, etc.). Monitor and order stock to maintain appropriate on-hand quantities. Build strong vendor relationships and track shipments to minimize out-of-stocks and shrinkage. Experience Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. Extensive background in fine dining cuisine with a strong emphasis on food presentation and quality assurance. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing diverse teams in kitchens of various sizes. Familiarity with dietary department practices, catering operations, and large-scale food production is highly desirable. Knowledge of inventory management systems, food safety sanitizing procedures, and cost control strategies within the food industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining a positive work environment. $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
