Full Job Description Position Purpose:
As a Sushi Chef you are expected to perform a variety of duties in the preparation of various food products and services and are expected to display hospitality and professionalism with our guests, management, and co-workers.
Responsibilities:
A Sushi Chef is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. A Sushi Chef's responsibilities include: To serve our guests in accordance with Sushi Neko standards of food and beverage quality and presentation. To comply with all standard operating procedures and conditions of employment. Follows all safety policies to insure a safe work area. Complies with all portion sizes and quality standards. Selects and uses Knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to portion, cut, slice, dip, batter, whip, beat, maintain holding temperature, fry, sauté', or otherwise produce food in the kitchen and at the Sushi Bar. Must properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements with label and date. Is expected to clean and sanitize all workstations and equipment and follow all regulatory rules, policies, and procedures for sanitation and maintenance. Must be able to produce all items sold at the sushi bar. When leaving your assigned station, for any reason, you must make arrangements with your manager. Maintains all required sanitation levels in the food prep areas in accordance with all regulatory procedures. Maintains a level of product according to production records and business demands. Total Compliance with Job Safety Analysis standards for your areas and equipment. Participated in accident prevention programs. Be familiar with Manufactures Safety Date Sheets for all products used. Total Compliance with all Oklahoma Health Department food sanitation requirements. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and associates. Must be able to stoop, bend, stand, and exert well-paced mobility for periods of 4 hours or more in length. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 35 to 45 hours a week. Must possess finger dexterity to use small tools.
