Sushi Roller (Bilingual)

Origami Catering is a Portland-based company that provides grab & go sushi to local grocery markets, hospitals, and corporate dining. We are looking for a Bilingual Sushi Roller to come join our central kitchen night team. We are looking for someone who can work 5 days/week including Sunday and Monday.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required for this position. We are looking for to fill a lead type roll that can facilitate communication between our English and Spanish speaking crewmates.

$19.00 - $21.00/hr (based on experience/evaluation), Please note that as a central kitchen this position does not receive tips.

5 days per week Sunday+

Monday RequiredShift:

4:30pm ~ 1:00AM. Typically out by 12:00

Job Duties:

Roll, cut, and package sushi and related products in compliance with Origami standardsMaintain clean kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensilsDishwashing and cleaningStock and organize inventoryPick and pack (sort) sushi into deliver totes according to customer invoicesAdhere to company, state, and local food safety regulations

Qualifications:

Sushi knowledge/experience preferred (but will train if you're willing to learn!)Bilingual (Spanish/English)Dependable, punctual, and can work efficientlyMust be available to work closing shifts (1am) will need your own transportationCandidate must provide a valid Multnomah Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hireAbility to learn and thrive in fast paced environmentMust wear non-slip shoesCan lift 40 pounds and stand for a full shiftBe positive, friendly, and have a team mindsetJewelry and artificial nails are not allowed in the kitchen during productionBeard/hairnets are worn during production.
