Job Description

We're launching a new sushi concept inside a trendy, modern food hall in Ambler, PA , and we're looking for an experienced Sushi Chef to help bring it to life. We're looking for someone who takes pride in making fresh, high-quality sushi, works clean and efficiently, and can maintain consistency in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to join a new concept from the beginning and become a key part of the team. Responsibilities Prepare sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items Prep and portion fish, vegetables, rice, sauces, and other ingredients Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and portioning Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures Maintain a clean and organized sushi station Manage prep levels and minimize food waste Work efficiently during busy service periods Assist with receiving, storage, and inventory as needed Help establish strong kitchen and prep standards for the new concept What We're Looking For Previous sushi preparation experience Strong knife skills and knowledge of proper fish handling Understanding of sushi rice preparation and basic sushi techniques Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and presentation Dependable, punctual, and organized Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Positive attitude and ability to work well with a small team Availability for a mix of weekday and weekend shifts Why Join Us? Pay:
$60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
