Job Description

Be part of the opening team at Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar, downtown Hershey's newest restaurant and bar. Located near the iconic intersection of Cocoa and Chocolate Avenue, Hershey Social features bold flavors, signature cocktails, and over-the-top desserts inspired by Hershey's chocolate roots. This position is responsible for kitchen staff management, food preparation, food safety, quality, and presentation at Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar in downtown Hershey, PA. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Supervise food preparation, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Assist with interviewing, training, scheduling, counseling, and motivating kitchen staff.
  • Drive menu development and maintain updated costing.
  • Analyze recipes and plate presentation.
  • Order food and requisition supplies.
  • Control food inventory levels and food and labor costs.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order and submit regular service repairs and requests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a line cook in a la carte, banquet, free-standing restaurant, hotel, and/or resort atmosphere 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver's license Completion of high school or GED, Associate's degree -
Culinary Arts Post-Employment:
RAMP Certification, ServSafe Allergen, and ServSafe Manager Certifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of POS and automated payroll systems High volume, banquet, or casual dining Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
