Responsibilities Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of banquet menus tailored to diverse event needs, from corporate functions to weddings and social gatherings. Supervise and manage the banquet kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence in food production and service. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, controlling food costs, and maintaining accurate stock levels to ensure seamless operations. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and uphold rigorous standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with event coordinators and management to coordinate timing, special dietary requirements, and presentation details for each event. Develop innovative menu options that reflect current culinary trends while accommodating dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-specific needs. Manage shift schedules, monitor food quality during service, and troubleshoot any operational issues swiftly to maintain smooth workflow. Requirements Proven banquet experience with a strong background in food production, catering, or fine dining environments. Supervising experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced settings; demonstrated leadership skills are essential. Extensive knowledge of dietary requirements, food safety standards, inventory control, and kitchen management practices. Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation, and serving large groups efficiently. Strong understanding of restaurant or hospitality industry operations including shift management and food service management. Culinary training or certification from an accredited program is preferred; ongoing professional development is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate team members and coordinate effectively with other departments.
