Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Nursing License as an RN or LPN Willingness and ability to obtain all required Pennsylvania clearances Demonstrated experience caring for patients with tracheostomies, G-tubes, ventilators, and administering breathing treatments Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued, but not mandatory Strong communication skills with students, parents, and school personnel Organized, flexible, and able to respond quickly in fast-paced situations Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical health practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to students with complex medical needs, including management of tracheostomies, G-tubes, ventilators, and respiratory treatments Monitor students' health, respond to medical emergencies, and participate in care planning as part of a multidisciplinary team Administer medications and manage health records in accordance with state and district guidelines Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure individualized care and foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment Educate students and staff on health conditions, wellness, and safety Uphold all privacy, documentation, and safety protocols at all times This is a fantastic opportunity to gain rewarding experience in a school environment, making a positive impact on the lives of students and their families.
