$24-$27 per hour. Monday-Friday. 2 PM-10 PM. 40 hours per week. Keep cooking at a high level and leading a kitchen team without the typical restaurant schedule. Sparrow is hiring an experienced Sous Chef to lead a small culinary team producing elevated cuisine for private aviation. This is a hands-on culinary leadership role with consistent hours, steady year-round work, and no seasonal slowdown. You'll lead a team of fewer than five chefs while working alongside them in production. The kitchen moves quickly, and accuracy matters. Sparrow combines the pace and precision of aviation catering with an emphasis on quality, experimentation, and elevating inflight cuisine toward fine-dining standards. You'll work alongside the culinary team while directing PM production, maintaining food quality and safety standards, training and motivating cooks, following written recipes and production instructions, and helping execute menus for private aviation clients. Food needs to be prepared accurately, consistently, and on time. We're looking for someone who can keep a small team organized and productive without sacrificing quality. Responsibilities Lead daily PM culinary production Work hands-on alongside the culinary team Direct and support a team of fewer than five employees Maintain food quality and consistency throughout production Follow and reinforce recipes and production standards Support menu creation and culinary development Train, coach, and motivate kitchen staff Maintain food-safety, sanitation, and proper handling standards Keep production organized during high-volume periods Prepare and cook a wide range of ingredients Handle and prepare pork and recipes involving alcohol Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen Support accurate, on-time completion of culinary production Qualifications 2-5 years of Sous Chef experience preferred Proven chef experience in catering, banquet, event, or similar culinary settings Experience leading and motivating kitchen employees Strong knowledge of food safety and best practices Ability to follow written recipes and instructions accurately Comfortable working in a fast-paced culinary production environment Menu creation experience Valid driver's license required Must be comfortable handling, preparing, and cooking pork and recipes involving alcohol Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to reach, bend, and stoop Ability to lift up to 50 pounds English proficiency required Location Lansdowne, PA 19050 This location is easily accessible by public transportation.
