Job Description

STARR Restaurants is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to join The Pelican Club , Stephen Starr's highly anticipated new Greek restaurant coming to Philadelphia's iconic Rittenhouse Square. Inspired by the glamour and energy of the Greek islands during the jet-set Onassis era, The Pelican Club will pair authentic Greek cooking and Mediterranean flavors with the transportive design, lively atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality synonymous with STARR Restaurants. Set in a nearly 9,000-square-foot space overlooking Rittenhouse Square, and designed by Ken Fulk, The Pelican Club will join some of Philadelphia's most celebrated restaurants in one of the city's premier dining destinations. We are in search of a dynamic Pastry Sous Chef who has a passion about pastry arts and is excited to be part of a large, passionate, cohesive team. Desired Qualifications:
3+ year of progressive pastry department/kitchen management experience in well-rated, industry leading kitchens A solid understanding of all aspects of a Pastry Department operation (ordering, scheduling, production, plating, etc.) Attention to details of food quality, preparation and presentation Culinary degree in Baking and/or Pastry Arts - preferred The Pelican Club is an equal opportunity employer.
