Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, particularly in the preparation of sushi and other Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all food handling and safety practices are strictly followed. Based on experience pay is b/w $18 and $20 an hour plus tips. Responsibilities Prepare and present sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards. Utilize various knife skills to create precise cuts of fish, vegetables, and other ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food handling, food safety protocols, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and traditional Japanese ingredients. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
