Culinary Job Summary Glorious Affairs is seeking an Executive Chef with catering experience to lead all culinary operations, with a strong emphasis on catering and off-premise events. The Executive Chef will oversee menu development, kitchen management, food quality and safety, and staff leadership across both the restaurant and its catering division, ensuring every plate reflects the brand's standard of excellence. Key Responsibilities Design and execute menus for both daily restaurant service and catered events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties Plan and manage catering production schedules to ensure food quality, freshness, and timely delivery to off-site venues Lead, train, and schedule kitchen staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Manage food and labor costs, including vendor negotiations, portion control, and inventory management Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health department requirements Collaborate with the Event & Catering Coordinator on client tastings, custom menu requests, and event logistics Maintain consistent quality control across all kitchen stations and catering production lines Develop seasonal and event-specific menus that align with client budgets and brand identity Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or catering operation Demonstrated experience managing catering or banquet operations, including off-site event execution Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience ServSafe certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable working near heat, open flame, and sharp equipment Salary $85,000-$95,000 plus annual Bonus Join us as an Executive Chef where your culinary talent will shine!
