The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen by preparing high-quality ingredients and assisting in the overall food preparation process. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. The Prep Cook will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality. Duties Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, stocks, and other components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored properly. Assist with catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed. May be required to drive cargo or truck, load and unload catering items Support guest services by ensuring that all food items meet quality standards before serving. Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with catering or banquet services is a plus. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
