Overview Burnt Church Distillery, LLC ("Burnt Church" or the "Company") is seeking a dynamic and passionate Chef to join our culinary team, bringing creativity, leadership, and expertise to our vibrant dining environment. As a key player in our kitchen, you will oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your culinary skills and team management abilities will drive the success of our food service offerings, from fine dining to catering events. Abous Us Burnt Church is a hospitality concept located in Bluffton, SC. Known for its strong community presence, elevated yet approachable atmosphere, and commitment to quality, the Company has built a loyal customer base and a culture centered on teamwork and high standards. The culinary program plays a central role in the overall guest experience, requiring strong operational oversight, creativity, and disciplined execution. Duties Lead food production and preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet safety and sanitation standards Supervise kitchen staff, including kitchen team members and kitchen leads, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize costs Oversee menu planning and development, incorporating dietary requirements and customer preferences Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations Implement food service management practices that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency Monitor costs related to food production while maintaining quality standards; exercise cost control measures as needed Ensure compliance with all health regulations and hospitality industry standards for cleanliness and safety Qualifications Proven experience in various dining environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced settings Extensive event catering or restaurant experience with a focus on high-quality service delivery Knowledge of dietary department practices and food safety sanitizing procedures Skilled in inventory management, cost control, menu planning, and food handling techniques Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills; capable of managing shifts effectively Familiarity with food industry standards for hospitality, including managing teams as a chef and overseeing food service operations Experience in managing restaurant or event services with an emphasis on quality assurance and customer satisfaction Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management Join us as a Chef where your culinary expertise will inspire excellence!
