This role, under the direction of the Executive Chef, involves managing daily kitchen operations, overseeing food production, and maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and professionalism. As a hands-on leader, the CDC plays a key role in both prep and off-site execution, managing kitchen staff and collaborating across departments to ensure events run smoothly. You'll help with menu development, food costing, inventory, and team training while helping foster a positive, respectful kitchen culture that reflects our values. To succeed in this role, you should have 3-5 years of kitchen leadership experience, a strong grasp of off-site catering logistics, and the ability to stay organized and calm in high-pressure situations. Flexibility, communication, and attention to detail are essential. This role is a great fit for someone ready to step into a leadership position in a fast-moving, creative culinary environment. Key Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to… Support the Executive Chef with menu development, prep, and kitchen operations Supervise and lead kitchen staff during prep and off-site events Ensure consistency in food quality, safety, and presentation Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times Manage inventory, food costing, and organization of kitchen systems Ordering of all kitchen, food, and supplies from various purveyors Scheduling of kitchen personnel Train and mentor kitchen team members to support a positive work culture Collaborate with event, sales, and operations teams for seamless event execution
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of kitchen leadership experience (CDC, Exec. Sous or higher preferred) Proven experience in high-volume kitchens and catering environments Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lead calmly, effectively, and respectfully in fast-paced settings Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays Culinary degree or equivalent experience (preferred) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required •Reference and background checks will be completed•
Benefits:

This can include working in nontraditional or limited kitchen setups. Are you comfortable adapting to different environments and problem-solving on the fly? This role involves standing, bending, lifting, and being on your feet for extended periods. Are you able to meet these physical requirements on a regular basis? This role may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays at times, depending on business needs. Are you fully available to work a schedule that shifts based on event demands?
